“Sideways with a Badger” is a syndicated classic rock show with a difference… covering all aspects of ‘classic retro rock and the roots of rock’ from it’s origins of rock n’ roll and ‘jump blues’ of the 50’s and bubblegum and glam rock of the 70’s… right through to the latest genres of heavy metal, new wave, progressive and the punk pop of the noughties. It’s all about ‘raiding the twentieth century’ for those classic tracks that you’d forgotten that you loved… Classic ‘easy listening’ retro radio! From Ferry to Fergal Sharkey, Meatloaf to Metallica and Souxsie to the Strangler’s. “Sideways with a Badger” covers all aspects of rock music with regular features including the ‘Top 10 trivia countdown’, the ‘mystery jukebox’, our ‘weird world of wubbish’, the ‘Backtracks Brainteaser’ …and our ‘Rock History’ section when we explore the roots of a classic track from our record archives. “Sideways with a Badger” is a weekly 60 minute show available as a full 60 minute uninterrupted broadcast or as three 18 minute sections allowing each station to add their own jingles, commercials and branding. The choice is yours… The show is recorded as a vanilla production with no reference to any particular region, time-zone or radio station.  Any references will be to ‘your favourite station’ or timings past or to the ‘top of the hour’.  Listener requests or competition winners are generally announced purely by their forename and the city they come from i.e. Dale in Zurich, Katia on the Adriatic Coast or Andrew in Basingstoke.   Any branding is generally left to the station subscribing to the service. All that we ask is that you have the necessary PRS-MCPS/PPL licences necessary to allow you to broadcast radio in your own global broadcast region. Sideways with a Badger is delivered by our automated email service using a protected download link via media light box on a weekly basis (usually delivered on a Sunday evening) to your station’s nominated email address as 320kbps MP3 files (either as a single 60 minute uninterrupted broadcast or as 3 * 18 minute files).
